The Settings page's Roles tab allows One95 Administrators to set access permissions to One95 platform functions and student data views.
Default user roles provided by One95 are displayed for viewing. New roles, known as custom roles, can be customized by duplicating default roles.

One95 Administrators have exclusive access to the Settings page where platform settings are configured.
Access the Roles tab by selecting Settings from the navigation panel and clicking Roles in the menu at the top of the page.
1. The Settings page's sub-navigation menu bar offers access to the Environment, Connect, Roles, Licenses, and Activity tabs.
Click on the sub-navigation text word to go to each specific settings page. Clicking on Roles will bring up a display of the One95 default roles, plus any additional customized roles your district has created.
2. One95 default roles displayed in the ROLE column come with the platform and reflect common sets of features for common sets of users encountered in K-12 schools.
These roles can be mapped to within the Settings page's Connect tab, viewed, and duplicated, but their attributes cannot currently be edited or deleted.
Default roles include:
Administrator - This role can be used for district or site-level administrators and enables access to the Settings page.
At least one user with the Administrator role is required for your district. Additional site administrators can be created to accommodate backup and/or site administrators.
District - This role can be used to provide district-wide data visibility for advanced use of the One95 platform via the 95 Literacy Intervention System™ (LIS). Unlike the Administrator role, District level users do not have access to the Settings page.
Teacher - This role can be used to provide access to the Today and Resources pages for teachers who are using the One95 platform to access 95 Percent Group digital materials. In advanced uses of the One95 platform, the Teacher role also defaults the scope of data visible to students that have been rostered into their associated classes.
Grade - This role supports advanced uses of the One95 platform by providing a student data view across one or many grades. It can be useful to support interventions in a Walk-to-Read intervention approach.
School - This role supports advanced use cases of the One95 platform by providing a student data view across one or more schools.
Group - This role supports advanced use cases of the One95 platform by providing a data view of students in an intervention group supported by the user.
3. The UPDATED column displays the date that the corresponding role was created or last updated.
4. Clicking on the MORE ellipsis icon for a row opens a drop-down with choices to View Role, Update Role, Duplicate Role, and Delete Custom Role.
Updating a role and deleting a custom role are only enabled for custom roles (i.e., roles that were created by a One95 Administrator), not for the default roles that are delivered with the platform.
Clicking on View Role, Update Role, and Duplicate Role displays the following view. The role name will be displayed at the top of the page.
If Duplicate Role was selected, the user will see the selected role to be duplicated and be prompted to create a new role name.
Clicking on Delete Custom Role will prompt the user to confirm deletion of the custom role.
If users are assigned to the custom role, a warning message will prohibit deletion, and the user will be prompted to remap users to a different role before allowing deletion of the custom role.
Viewing, Updating, or Duplicating Roles
1. Click on any sub-navigation text word under the Settings menu label to go to each specific settings page at any time.
2. Access abilities are enabled or disabled for each row.
Access permissions include:
Groups - When enabled, and when the district has advanced One95 platform features via the LIS, this permission provides access to the Groups page's Active Groups and/or Setup New Intervention Cycle tabs where users can add and remove students into or out of intervention groups.
Resources > More Resources - When enabled, the Resources page will be split into two sections, with a licensed resources carousel at the top of the page and additional resources that the user may not have access to or that the district has not licensed at the bottom of the Resources page. Users who have the More Resources section enabled can click on the Favorites heart icon for any resources in the section to submit a wish list request for One95 Administrator(s) review. One95 Administrators can review their district's requests within the Settings page's Activity tab. When More Resources is not enabled, users will see one panel of licensed resources on their Resources page and not have access to the wish list function.
Settings - When enabled, the user will have access to the Settings page in the left-hand navigation panel. This permission is intended for district and site level administrators of the One95 platform.
3. Advanced implementations of the One95 platform include the ability to customize views of rostered student data to accommodate different intervention approaches. This functionality is coming soon.
